I have a decade of experience as CFO, accountant, bookkeeper and tax professional for e-com businesses.
My own business continues to grow as I thoroughly monitor my sales, my expenses, my tax liabilities, my profit margins and key metrics to GROW.
When I first started my business "doing it for you" I realized that I loved helping you learn more then "doing it for you" what's that saying, "You can teach a man to fish" or something like that right? Anyway, I can’t even tell you how happy I am when a new client of mine surpasses their goals and expectations with the information and knowledge I give them
Through my business, McCoy Advising, Google Me, I taught entrepreneurs all the little tax tips and tricks, budgeting tools and overall financial wisdom by leveraging my decade plus of accounting experience.
Basically, I can do this stuff for you. BUT, what I really think is better is when you have the tools to understand just as much as I do. In the end, it's YOUR business and YOU are in control of it. No one should be more involved in YOUR business then YOU!

My Mission Statement
My goal with this is to have you, the business owner, actually KNOW what is going on in your Etsy or Handmade Seller business.
I hear it all the time, "I'm too busy to worry about it" or "I just like to sell things man", or worse yet "I have someone do this for me"
The problem with all of these is that you never REALLY know what is going on.
I see it all the time.
Etsy stores come to me and say "Hey, I need you to do the books". I do them and they start to cry. No seriously, I had a Etsy Jeweler break down in tears in her shop, right in front of me. I had to break the news to her, even though she was SELLING, she actually LOST money. She couldn't believe it. At that point, she needed to LOOK and ANALYZE her business, which after some more tears she was able to "see" where her business really was.
My goal is to give you an understanding of how to do this, ALL OF IT. So even if you decide to hire someone, or already have someone, you can call them out on their mistakes. Or here's a thought, maybe YOU'LL actually be able to see your finances month to month..without the tears
About me, The Person
I live and work out of Philadelphia, PA (Go Eagles!) and have been here since I was a kid. I work with people all over the world and everybody always asks me about cheesesteaks, my choice is Jim's on South Street.
My whole life I wanted to own my own business and for the longest time I could not figure out just what the hell I wanted to "own". Of course, my mom was worried about me when I graduated college and wanted me to "get a job" and companies always needed accountants, so I was in luck (thanks mom).
After graduating from a school you never heard of, I went on to work for some pretty reputable and "Big 4" accounting firms and while it was nice to "have a job", I never really felt fulfilled.
With no other skills besides accounting (and realizing I wasn't going to be a professional baseball player), I decided that hey, if big companies need this, I am sure "smaller ones" do to and so I began to venture out on my own helping every kind of business you can think of. My first ever client was a "Hydro Colon Therapy" business in Philadelphia.
From there, I have helped hundreds and hundreds of small businesses all over the world with, their accounting, their taxes and their overall business health.
It was then I realized, I finally had my own business and felt fulfilled giving out this much needed knowledge to people who really needed it.
